key points from this paper:

  • membership chang is highly connected to team development lifecycle model ;
  • Arrow and McGrath (1993, 1995) are two seminal work about membership change;
  • the classic model of Input-process-output model (Hackman, 1987; McGrath, 1984) is upgrated to Input-mediator-output-input model (Ilgen et al., 2005)
  • information processing and cooporation are two mediators between input and output.
